NPSB Makes History with SPS Data 2023

NATCHITOCHES, LOUISIANA – On Monday, November 13, 2023, The Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) released the School Performance Scores for each school district across the state. These scores reflect the performance of each school from the 2022-2023 school year based on test scores and proficiency growth.

Natchitoches Parish Schools have made historical strides when it comes to school performance. NPSB has been named in the Top Ten School Districts for proficiency growth for two consecutive years and has been recognized as a Top 25 School District in the state of Louisiana. NPSB has also been recognized as a Top Five School District for overall performance growth. 

For the first time in history, NPSB has no “F” ranked schools. Natchitoches Central High School has also been ranked an “A” school for the first time in history and recognized as one of the Top 10 High Schools in the state of Louisiana for overall performance growth. NPSB has six schools that received Top Gains and Opportunity Honoree titles from the 2022-2023 school year.

LDOE’s School Performance Score (SPS) Data shows that the Natchitoches Parish School District saw growth in graduation rate, strength of diploma, and the ACT index. The average school in Natchitoches Parish grew 5.7 points from the 2021-2022 school year and grew 5.1 points in overall performance growth. NPTCC has also been recognized as a Top Five Alternative School in the state of Louisiana for overall performance growth.
