The Natchitoches Parish School Board is proud to announce Mr. Antavious Roberson, Principal of Natchitoches Magnet School, as the 2025 NPSB Principal of the Year.
Mr. Roberson stepped into the principalship at Natchitoches Magnet in 2024 and has quickly demonstrated exceptional leadership. In less than a year, he has implemented a clear vision focused on student success, strengthened school culture, and increased enrollment by nearly 25%, a significant achievement following years of decline prior to his arrival.
Superintendent Dr. Grant Eloi praised Mr. Roberson’s “student-first approach, forward-thinking mindset, and wisdom beyond his years,” noting that his leadership has created an inviting and inclusive environment where students and families feel valued and excited to be a part of the school community.
Despite overseeing the school’s ongoing transition to a new location, Mr. Roberson has maintained stability, supported staff, and ensured that academic goals remain at the forefront. His strong instructional leadership and expertise in NIET practices have elevated teaching and learning at Natchitoches Magnet. He was recently highlighted at the National NIET Conference for his successful implementation of high-impact educational strategies.
Under his direction, Natchitoches Magnet is projected not only to maintain its “A” rating, but to continue rising in academic achievement. Teachers describe feeling supported and empowered, and students thrive within the positive culture he has cultivated.
