NATCHITOCHES, LA — The Natchitoches Parish School Board is proud to announce that Latonzia Beavers, an NPSB District-Based Executive Master Teacher, has been selected to participate in the Future of Educators Working Group at the Hoover Institution of Stanford University.
Beavers brings 14 years of experience in education and has served four years as a Master Teacher. She is currently in her first year as an Executive Master Teacher for Natchitoches Parish. Throughout her career, she has remained deeply committed to ensuring that all students receive high-quality instruction through effective, research-based teaching practices.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Northwestern State University, as well as a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Louisiana State University in Shreveport. During her tenure as a Master Teacher, Beavers demonstrated significant growth in student achievement and instructional excellence, supporting educators and strengthening classroom practices across campuses.
In recognition of her leadership and impact, Beavers was selected for the inaugural cohort of the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching (NIET) Fellows Program (2024–2025). She also led a Cluster in a Bubble session at NIET’s National Conference in February 2025, sharing best practices and innovative strategies with educators from across the nation.
Her selection to the Future of Educators Working Group places her among a distinguished group of teacher leaders who will convene throughout 2026 to examine challenges facing the profession and provide classroom-based insight into strengthening teaching and leadership nationwide.
