Please understand that these are only tests, and there are no legitimate threats or emergencies. These drills are an essential part of ensuring our emergency alert systems are functioning properly and that everyone knows how to respond effectively in the event of a real emergency. School Closure Update🚨 Out of an abundance of caution, all Natchitoches Parish schools will remain closed on Wednesday, January 22. After consulting with the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office, the potential for melting and refreezing of wet roads is a concern because it could create hazardous driving conditions. The safety of our students, staff, and bus drivers is our top priority, and we want to ensure everyone remains safe. Please note that we have enough days built into our school calendar, so these missed days will not need to be made up. Thank you for your understanding, and we will continue to keep you updated as needed. Stay warm and safe! ❄️ #NPSB #TogetherWeCan

WEATHER UPDATE 🚨 After consulting with the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office and the National Weather Service, we want to inform Natchitoches Parish families that ALL schools will be open tomorrow, Friday, January 10, 2025, as scheduled. This includes NJH, where the heating issue has been fully resolved. While we are aware of the approaching winter weather and precipitation, forecasts indicate temperatures will remain above freezing over the next 24 hours. As always, the safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. If heavy rain causes any rural roads to become impassable, we encourage families to communicate this with their child’s school. These absences will be excused, as they have been in the past. Thank you for your attention and cooperation. Please stay safe, and we look forward to seeing everyone in class tomorrow! #NPBS #TogetherWeCan #WeatherUpdate
