April 24, 2026
April is Autism Awareness Month, and at Natchitoches Parish Schools, we recognize the importance of supporting students with autism!✨🧩
While this month highlights autism, it also serves as a meaningful reminder of our responsibility to support all students with disabilities and exceptionalities. Every student learns differently, and those differences are what make our school community stronger.
Creating an welcoming environment starts with each of us. We can all play a role by:
• Practicing patience and understanding
• Using respectful and considerate language
• Celebrating differences and unique strengths
• Avoiding assumptions (every student’s needs and abilities are different)
• Creating spaces where all students feel valued and supported
At NPSB, we are committed to ensuring every student feels seen, respected, and empowered to succeed. By working together, we can continue to build a culture of acceptance and compassion for all.
