Thank you for nourishing the minds and bodies of our students here in Natchitoches Parish Schools. Our schools would not be complete with each and every one of you!
Who's your favorite school lunch hero??

The LSU School of Education honored Lutrill and Pearl Payne of Natchitoches yesterday by naming the college after them.
With many moments of reflection, faculty, family, and friends of the Payne family spoke on the many trials and hardships they faced trying to pursue higher education.
Lutrill and Pearl were the first African Americans to attend LSU. Lutrill graduated from Southern University and then sued to attend LSU for graduate school, winning and earning his master’s degree. Pearl received her master's from LSU and was a teacher for 37 years.
Thank you LSU for honoring these Natchitoches trailblazers and their legacy of paving the way for African American educators!!
