NCHS JROTC Captures Overall Champion

On Saturday, September 24th, the NCHS Junior ROTC Chiefs Battalion travelled to North Caddo High School in Vivian, LA to compete in the Titan Challenge Drill Competition. 

The Chiefs Battalion had huge success securing the overall title and multiple event and division awards.

Army Instructor, Retired First Sergeant Michael Selby, expressed his gratitude to all the cadet guardians for supporting the program and while very pleased with the outcome of this competition, stated that the level of execution of which this program is capable has not been reached, and looks forward to seeing future levels of achievement.  

In his first competition as Senior Army Instructor at Natchitoches Central High School, Retired Major Duane Bailey, was very pleased to see the level of sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect conveyed by all of the Chiefs Battalion Cadets and has identified several areas where he can be of assistance mentoring these future leaders of our community.

The Chiefs Battalion will host more than twelve schools for the 8/108 Spur Challenge Drill Competition on October 8, 2022, at Natchitoches Central High School, but they will not be competing.  The next test for the Chiefs Battalion will be at North Desoto High School on October 15, 2022, where they will attempt to build on this initial success.
