Natchitoches Junior High Boys to Men Recognized for Outstanding Community Service
We are incredibly proud to share that the Boys to Men Club at Natchitoches Junior High School was recognized in the 2025 KALB-TV Christmas Cheer Food Drive for Natchitoches Parish!
Our students collected an amazing 955 pounds of non-perishable food, earning the title of TOP COLLECTING JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN THE PARISH ๐๐ These donations will directly support food-insecure families right here in Natchitoches Parish during the holiday season.
This impactful food driveโsponsored by the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana, Paragon Casino Resort, and KALB-TVโhighlights the power of coming together to serve our community. As part of this recognition, the Boys to Men Club received a $500 cash award from the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe.
The Boys to Men Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit service organization, and this achievement reflects what happens when young men lead with compassion, responsibility, and purpose.
๐ Thank you to our students, families, sponsors, and community partners for making this possible. This is what leadership looks like.

Letโs keep our students warm and our NJH spirit strong! ๐๐โค๏ธ

For one solid week, students worked diligently and vigorously on decorating their posters with information on the robot they were assigned to research.
The posters were then graded on a 200-point rubric with attributes ranging from plagiarism, creativity, timeliness, photos, and organization.
Mr. Thomas said that he wanted to get these students in-the-habit of using rubrics that involved these attributes, especially timeliness, because this is what they'll see in high school.
The winners are:
1st Place
Zariah Pearrie
($20, a Plaque, 20 Indian Bucks, Free Dress Down Day)
2nd Place
Estuardo Hernandez
($15, a Plaque, 15 Indian Bucks, Free Dress Down Day)
3rd Place
Angel McGinnis
($10, a Plaque, 10 Indian Bucks, Free Dress Down Day)
Congratulations are in order for these students on being recognized and awarded for their hard work and dedication!

Weโre excited to welcome everyone this evening for our Gumbo with Guardians Holiday Game Night! Thank you to everyone who prepaidโyour support has been incredible.

Formerly the Natchitoches Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, the Boys to Men Club, led by Mr. Jermaine Thomas, has been serving this facility for the last several years.
With a total of 65 residents, each of them were given a small bag that contained jello pudding, fruit snacks, bottle of water, and some lotions & soaps.
One of the missions of the Boys to Men Club is to SERVE and Give Back to the community, so this is just one way that this organization is living up to it's mission statement.

Where Everybody Is Somebody.

Our NJH students have been on fire during the Zearn Space Race Challenge โ and itโs time to celebrate the ones who stayed consistent, met their goals, and blasted through their lessons! ๐๐ป
These students completed 9 or more Zearn lessons during the challenge window, showing incredible effort, dedication, and grit. Their hard work is paying off with stronger math skills, boosted confidence, and major academic growth. ๐โจ
๐ Why this is a big deal:
Students who complete 3+ lessons a week make double the growth in math. These champions didnโt just meet the expectation โ they crushed it.
๐ Letโs give a HUGE shout-out to our Space Race finishers!
Keep aiming high, Indians โ your hard work is helping you reach the stars! ๐
