NJH Hosted Their First PBIS Friday!
Natchitoches Junior High kicked off its very first PBIS Friday with excitement and success! Students had the opportunity to redeem their Indian Bucks at the PBIS Store, choosing from a variety of treats and rewards.
A huge thank you to our teachers for consistently recognizing students who are Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Learn. Every Indian Buck represents growth, effort, and a commitment to excellence.
This is just the beginning, PBIS Friday will be every 3rd Friday of each month. We can’t wait to see even more students earning rewards for positive behavior.
At NJH, “Where Everybody Is Somebody,” we celebrate success together!

On Friday, September 26th, all NPSB schools will be “Going Gold” in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month💛 Gold is the official color of Childhood Cancer Awareness, and we invite all students to join us in showing their support!
Students may donate $1 to wear jeans and a gold shirt on this day. All proceeds will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in honor of Maddie Elkins (a Natchitoches Magnet student who passed away in December 2024) and Kingston “KJ” McGuire (an NJH student who passed away in August 2025).
Together, we can honor these students and help support children and families fighting childhood cancer💛🎗️

Today at NJH, our students and staff united to bring awareness to Suicide Prevention Month. 💚 💜 Together, we reminded ourselves that we are loved and never alone. Most importantly, we each hold the power to encourage and uplift someone who may be struggling.
Students participated in the “You Matter Wall” activity and received a “Your Life Matters” card with the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline information: Dial or text 988. 📞
At NJH, “where everybody is somebody”, we stand together to spread hope and remind one another that every life is precious.

This past week, students participated in a free raffle drawing sponsored by our JAG program. Our four winners received a bicycle just in time for the holiday season! Congratulations to our winners, Nakayra Smith, Jaylin Williams, Khalil Seymore, and Kelis Pier! Thank you to Mrs. Rainwater, and your JAG program, for sponsoring this amazing event for our students. Happy Holidays! 🎄🎁

Thank you to the Cane River Branch Magnolia State Peace Officers Association for the generous donation to the NJHS Student Success Closet. We truly appreciate your kind hearts and your consideration for our school.
