Natchitoches Junior High School’s Art Club wins Best School/Civic Group at the Annual “Crows on the Cane” Scarecrow Contest. Mr. Alford and his art club’s creative theme of “An Artist at Work” was inspired by the one and only Bob Ross.

How do you spell spirit? S...U...C...C...E...S...S! That's right! Natchitoches Junior High School students, teachers, faculty and staff celebrated our 1st Nine Week successes at our first Academic Pep Rally! Each House recognized its Honor Roll and Perfect Attendance. Houses competed in a Basketball Shoot Out and Hulu Hoop relay. The NCHS Maroon Line performed as did the NJH Cheer Squad and Band. Fun was had by all. NJH truly showed they have spirit! Can you hear it!

Howdy partners! Today, students enjoyed a western -themed day as we celebrate spirit week. Tomorrow’s spirit day finale ends with an academic pep rally recognizing student achievements, cheer performances, and fun activities as we continue building a lasting legacy.

Parent-Teacher Conferences Next Week 👩🏾🏫🧑🏫🎓
Parent-Teacher conferences will be held next week. Conferences will take place on Thursday, October 6th from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm and Friday, October 7th from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Report cards will be available for pick up on both days. See you then!
Northwestern State University Visits NJH 🏀⛹️♂️
We'd like to take this moment to thank the Northwestern State University Men's Basketball Team and their Stay in to Win program. The foundation of this program focuses on five specific Keys to Student Success that help students to better understand how to become successful in school and in life. Progress report grades for the mid-term of the first nine-week grading period have been sent home with students today. Students' grades are also available for viewing on JCampus. Please talk with your student about any missing assignments or low grades and contact your student’s teachers directly if you have concerns about their grades.
The first grading period is currently scheduled to end on October 6th with report cards going out that week. Thank you for your support!
